The focus of my collection is Star Wars, primarily vintage era items from the 1970s and 80s. I began collecting in 1991, eventually turning my passion into business venture as a vendor at toy shows and star trek conventions (this was long before Celebration began). In the late 1990s, I exited the collecting world and the toy show circuit to pursue my academic career. But I never quite gave up the passion for toys and Star Wars memorabilia. Over the last 10 years I dabbled in it as a side hobby by selling a few things in a local consignment shop, where my items caught the attention of the Judith Miller Price Guides. Many of my items, both Star Wars and other toys, have appeared in Judith Miller Guides from 2003 through 2009. I recently began collecting Star Wars again (buying again) and have left the consignment shop with plans to re-enter the toy show circuit and broaden my toy offers with a website. I also do toy packaging conservation and intend in the future to offer a price-sticker removal service. I have cleanly removed decades-old price tags from many of the toys in my collection.
