Dan's Crave Listing #191 of 400: The ONE, the ONLY.... YODA! This is absolutely one of my favorites of all time. One of my earliest star wars memories is visiting my older cousin and playing with his Yoda in his Dagobah playset. As a result, I tend to hoard Yoda items. If I ever ventured toward a focus-collection, it would definitely be Yoda. This example is the first issue on a really beautiful 32-back Empire Strikes card, very clean on the backside, the front extremely presentable with a couple of flaws- surface tear from a price sticker most notably, a couple of vein type creases at the upper left. The bubble is just barely starting to yellow, but not enough to be really bothersome IMO. Also, the lower half of the bubble has a slight left-side lean, which I believe to be more of a factory flaw and not damage. For the variant collectors out there, this a pale tone yoda with orange snake, light colored cane, and full eyes (as opposed to the 'pacman' type). I would grade it conservatively at around C-8. I don't believe in afa stuff, so I leave that to you afa folks to figure out. I'm still in the c-1 thru 10 1990s mindset... I had a hard time figuring value on this one. I have been referencing the "Vintage Kenner Star Wars Action Figure Price Guide" on Squidoo in my own shopping as a general gauge on value, and it says this figure usually sells for around $275 in C-9 or better condition. I have found that guide to be the easiest to follow, most frequently updated and realistic when I do my own shopping for other characters. So I assume it's not far off the mark. I figure if I get half that for this one, I'm happy, but I welcome others opinions since I don't sell my original carded very often. Opinions? Questions?
